At JEM Carpentry we build and fit our own custom cabinets as well as fit cabinets made by other manufacturers. The photos below are a mixture of both our custom cabinets and cabinets made by others that we fitted.

The process we use to build a cabinet will depend on the cabinet and the situation. In this instance, we used a dado & glue joint construction for the box and drawers, and loose mortise and tenons to build the face frame. We use 3/4”, 1/2” and 1/4” plywood and 3/4” S4S lumber to build our cabinets.
Starting a new cabinet build! This is a built-in dresser for a local custom home builder. At 48” tall and over 70” long, it’s a beast of a cabinet! All of our plywood and S4S lumber are staged out to be milled.
Red Oak Slab Cabinet Doors. 3/4” Red Oak Plywood & Red Oak Edge Banding.
The 1/2” steel countertop brackets supplied by the builder did not have any holes drilled for screws. We brought our small drill press on site to drill 1/4” holes with a 1/2” countersink.
