The latest and greatest projects coming out of the JEM Wood Shop.

This menu board was built for Jamoka Joe’s, a local coffee shop in Loveland, CO. We started with rough sawn beetle kill pine from our local saw mill, lots of milling and sanding, filled all knots, cracks and voids with a structural black epoxy, built the back from Baltic birch plywood and hard maple, finished with a spar urethane, and it’s ready to be installed! This was a really fun project and we are excited to build more custom projects like this. What can we build for you? Send us a note, inspiration pictures found on Etsy, or a napkin drawing, and we will start working to bring your vision to life!

We built these 3” white oak shelves using a miter fold process and finished them with a one step, hand-rubbed oil finish. These shelves are mounted on cleats that are screwed and glued to the wall and scribed to fit tight.

This custom built-in cabinet was made in our shop and installed in a home in Loveland, Colorado. I designed the cabinet to fit an awkward space remaining between the existing cabinets and wall. Eight adjustable shelves with hardwood nosing add lots of storage to this small space. Custom fillers were made to ensure a tight fit and clean look when hooking up with the existing cabinets. The customers loved the final product!

Custom Vanity in Baltic Birch & Maple
This custom vanity was designed and built by the JEM team for a customer in Estes Park, CO. We used 3/4” Baltic Birch plywood for the entire box and drawers and Maple for the shaker doors and face frame. The paint was chosen by the homeowner.
